MANILA, Philippines – Mexicans Marco Antonio Barrera and Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr. scored unanimous decision victories over their opponents on Saturday (Sunday in Manila) in “Latin Fury 15: La Furia de Mexico.”
The 7-time world champion Barrera won his 10-round bout with Brazilian Adailton de Jesus at the Alamodome, San Antonio, Texas.
The scores were 100-90, 99-91 and 98-92 for the Mexican champion.
Barrera now has 66 wins (with 43 knockouts) and 7 losses while de Jesus has 26 wins (with 21 KOs) and 5 losses.

Meantime, the son of legendary Mexican champion Julio Cesar Chavez claimed the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver middleweight title.
Chavez Jr. defeated Ireland’s John Duddy, who now has 29 wins (with 18 KOs) and 2 losses.
He won over his Irish opponent with the scores 120-108, 116-112 and 117-111.
The Mexican, who is being coached by acclaimed trainer Freddie Roach, remained undefeated with 41 wins (with 30 KOs) and 1 draw.
